The Humanitarian AI Dashboard is a comprehensive, web-based platform designed to support the ethical, effective, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in humanitarian settings. It brings together policies, case studies, analytics, and practical resources in one centralized space to help practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and donors navigate the rapidly evolving AI–humanitarian landscape.
Discover the collaborative efforts and innovative approaches that power this initiative
This dashboard is the result of collaborative efforts among multiple partners who are members of the Technical Working Group (TWG), led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and co-led by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD). It reflects a shared commitment to advancing responsible AI use through coordination, partnership, and knowledge exchange.
The platform aggregates global and regional information on how AI is being applied across humanitarian contexts, highlighting what works, existing challenges, and critical ethical considerations. Interactive analytics and visualizations provide insights into trends, geographic distribution, and sectoral use of AI, enabling evidence-informed decision-making.
All humanitarian sectors represented in this dashboard are aligned with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) sector definitions, ensuring consistency with internationally recognized humanitarian coordination frameworks. This allows users to explore AI applications across sectors such as health, protection, food security, shelter, education, and others using a standardized humanitarian language.
By bridging research, practice, and policy, the Humanitarian AI Dashboard aims to strengthen collaboration, support capacity building, and promote responsible innovation—ensuring that AI technologies enhance humanitarian action while upholding humanitarian principles.
